Bowling author:name here
As promised... a small update about my bowling trip with Bao-bei.
Was a funny sort of disaster. We reached the bowling place @ CSC at 5.30... which was alot later than i expected. Bao-bei's work ended late and we had a late lunch at West Mall's foodcourt (bimbimbap was nice)...
Guy at counter gave us an unfriendly look... and ignored us for about 3-5min b4 charging us for the shoes and giving us a lane. Told us we only had half hr to play.
Played 2 games... easily scored the lowest of all...
Then i dropped the ball at the end of the 2nd game (tired hand)... and it rolled backwards! The uncle in the left lane laughed. Sigh. I think alot of ppl saw it too... since i panicked and shrieked. Bao-bei made a loud fuss too... sigh. (so paiseh)
Maybe next time I'll invite Mom. But i will definitely NOT drop the ball again. Been meaning to test Mom ever since she declared that she used to be a champion bowler and my parents always went bowling for their dates. haha.
Until then,
Logging out for now.

Updating... author:name here
Been seriously seriously long since i blogged... so i'm doing it in school now... coz its soooo boring i'd rather be here blogging than in the lecture hall listening to my Business Statistics lecturer going on and on abt survey results...
First of all... sorry for not updating on blog... but hey, my facebook's been pretty active. So anyone who noes me can get an update of me right there.
Right now in 2nd sem of UniSim DMS... 2nd wk of sch and I'm already dying out of boredom. Here's the update from school:
Financial Accounting:
A little difficult so far, but considering that i have no accounting background, i think i'm catching up just fine... and when i get something right, i feel so accomplished. The lecturer looks like an average auntie on the street... but she's alright and her lectures, though not fun at all, illuminate my brain at the very least. Feel i've learned something... which is quite an accomplishment for her. So far learnt how to do double entry journals, T-ledger, and trial balance... yays.
Business Statistics:
The school finds it necessary for us to learn how to create and analyse statistical data, and I actually kinda agree. HOWEVER, so far i have learnt practically nothing... in fact my brain kinda feels like its digressing, WHY?
Lecture 1: diff types of survey question and measurement: qualitative qns and quantitative qns. (stuff that can be covered within 10min dragged out for 3 hrs)
Lecture 2: starting on the "chim"-looking formulae with lots of greek symbols. What the greek symbols mean? Finding the average, median and mode of collected data results. Which I learnt in secondary school. (i tink it was sec 3) Talk about waste of school fees!
Some quotes and strokes of genius from our lecturer that made me seriously doubt his intelligence:
Example 1: Survey results: 50, 55.5, 62, 74, 88, 90. Lecturer: There are 6 samples here. You can count 6 different numbers... One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six...
ME: Erm i hate to break it to you sir, but we learnt how to count at least 15 years ago...
Example 2: Lecturer: Who can tell me what graph this is? Students: Bar graph. Lecturer: Can anyone tell me WHY its a bar graph? Students: ..........erm, coz there's a bar?
ME: =.= WTF man, do you think we're BLIND?
Example 3: Lecturer: This table is the results of a plant's daily production. A plant is a factory. It produces parts or products everyday. It's spelt as : Pee-Elle-Aae-An-Tee-Asssssssssss. PLANTS!
ME: Wow. Thanks ever so much for spelling it for us. I would've never known how to spell plants without you.
Erm, do I need to go on? BTW, we already covered effective writing in English for Business.
Some choice words uttered by our BizComm lecturer:
Questionnaire : Questio-NEEEAH (think indian accent) Eliminate: AIR-liminate
So far i only remember these 2 words. Shall recall the rest and slot them in haha.
Guess for now i shall have to wait till the lecturers stop teaching the obvious and start teaching the more difficult stuff. Guess it might take another 2 weeks or so... Which means i might be blogging more. haha...
Going bowling with Baobei tmr afternoon...

Free Movie Day author:name here
Had planned to catch Trail of the Panda, a super duper cute looking movie that had just recently come out in Golden Village cinemas. Baobei told me she had a few free movie coupons which were only valid in June, and well... yesterday was the last day of June.
She had initially cancelled the movie trip, but due to her other appointment ending pretty suddenly at around 4pm, she suddenly had the time to spare. Called me and asked me to rush down to watch the 4.40pm timing movie for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
Reached there 10-15 min late (my slippers broke while i was dashing across Jurong Point towards the cinema). However, we were surprisingly in time for the movie as it was still advertisements when we went in.
There's a funny new advertisement telling patrons to turn the handphones to vibration mode. It also moonlighted as the trailer for Jack Neo's new comedy/ghost movie, 吓到笑
Made the entire cinema LOL....
The movie itself was not bad as there was some pretty funny scenes, but as far as the storyline goes, it was pretty cheesy. The main char gets pricked by his conscience as ghosts come back and makes him visit his past girlfriends to show him that he's supposed to end up with the girl he always loved. Pretty average romance flick... Jennifer Garner wasn't very gd in dis film tho, she should stay in action flicks.
After finishing the 1st movie, we immediately went back into the queue for the 2nd free movie. This time,Baobei chose to watch '"Drag me to Hell"", which I wasnt inclined to watch in the first place as I do not watch horror.
I must say that I went in with very little expectations, but even then the movie gave me the feeling that I just wasted 2hrs of my life.
The main character (who is, of course, blonde, as it is with most cheesy horror movies) gets cursed by an old gypsy woman and has 3 days to live... bla bla bla... she kills her cat in an attempt to appease the old gypsy woman's spirit... then of course by the end of the movie she dies.
I guess the director attempted to entertain us/ scare us with the super lousy 60s (is the 60s fashionable again?) special effects such as the gypsy woman vomitting slime and various bodily fluids all over our dumb blonde's face/mouth, her swallowing a fly, the gypsy woman's ghost coming back to scare her, stick her entire dirty slimy arm (up to the elbow. how's that for lame effects) into her mouth, then of course, there is the seance/exorcism session (vital in all cheesy horror films).
Baobei and I guessed the ending of the movie... and oh boy we were right. The movie seemed to be totally written after Stephen King's "Thinner". Of course, Thinner was about 100000000 times better as there was a more psychological element to it.
After that, we went to shop around a little... Body Shop had a sale where about 100 women squeezed around smelling the products... then Baobei decided to splurge on a SemBonia bag... (yikes). And we went to her home via 320 (a.k.a taxi) since she bugged me to go to her place for a late dinner...
Baobei's father is well, a chef and his cooking is always pretty gd ^_^ he stir fried ABALONE with veges ytd nite, and cooked some roast pork and duck (LUCKY ME!)
Well, at least we did not have to pay for the movies, so I didn't really mind watching the 2 movies... if I had paid, I'd still be cursing Sam Raimi for spending money on his stupid boring lame excuse of a horror movie.

Clark Quay author:name here
Went out wif baobei ytd to Clark Quay intending to take a peek at the wholesale shops selling beads & accessories...
But b4 that, she brought me to Clark Quay Central's basement to take a look at a candy shop.
The candies were hand-made on the spot by 2 guys! >.<>
The candies were about the size of a 5 cent coin after they were made, but as they were kneading and rolling the different colored candies into their special design, it became roughly the size of my bolster!!! Then finally both the candymakers started pulling the candy till it became thinner and thinner, before finally cutting them and revealing the design they put inside the candy.
We couldn't help ourselves and ended up buying a bottle of handmade candy each.
Here's some scrumptious photos:
The Eat Me, Bite Me series of candy! The wording are a little small in this photo, but they're still pretty cool!!!
Peaches & Cream... these are called the pillow candy... coz of their shape, of course!
This is what I got... the rock mix! Coz there were too many flavourse to choose from I couldn't decide, so I took some of everything! There's apple, orange, lemon, grapefruit, blueberry, cherry(YUMMY), watermelon, kiwi, banana, pineapple, raspberry. strawberry, grape, lime, mango, passionfruit, and alot others i'm sure i hvnt discovered!!!
Found this to be the most imaginative and adorable candy... Needless to say, the flavour is kiwi!!!
Hmm... apparently they even do wedding orders! Imagine me and my future spouse's name inside the candy and giving them out to wedding guests?! We even saw some 双喜 candy!!! (Which I bet cost extra coz it's super super hard to roll a chinese character into a round shape candy)
All in all, it's a very interesting store, and I'd like to bring my bottle of rock mix back for a refill (refills are cheaper).
My bottle of rock mix!!! So far have only eaten 3 pieces of it... Kinda can't bear to eat the adorable little things!

Happy Birthday Me! author:name here
Went out for lunch at Swensens... since they give out free firehouse-sundaes on birthdays. My bro came back from camp and treated us... =D
Our birthday sundaes... along with a scoop of hazelnut & a scoop of macadamia that came with the set lunch... =P
After dat we rushed home to catch my old man b4 he set off for work and we cut our birthday cakes. Yes... we had 2 separate cakes for each of us... Apparently my mum took it pretty seriously when I complained for the past 10 years about having to share a cake on my birthday with a twin!
My cake... a simple yummy chocolate cake from Prima Deli.
My bro's fruit cake... Pretty decorative.
Shall finish now... my bro wants to use the pc...

Super Update Part 2 =) author:name here
7th June:
Woke up with a headache due to the stupid Singapore Idol auditions the prev day. Was dehydrated, exhausted, sunburnt... 9.30am received a wake-up call and proceeded to bath and prepare to go out to celebrate my bday.
Took MRT to City Hall to meet Qing-ai-de. Halfway thru got a call from Bao-bei who was late (haha... the person who gave me the wake up call was the one who overslept in the end).
Reached River City Restaurant on the 4th floor of Excelsior Shopping Centre for the dim sum buffet at 11.30am... received my birthday presents there ^^
From Bao-Bei, a Citigems 0.25 surface carat diamond pendant from the Avoire series:
From Qing-ai-de & Hua-jie(or Mr.K), a vintage watch from Authentic Fossil... the box it came in is super cute:
As advertised:
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ LOVE the presents btw... everyone... MUACKX!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
The dim sum was not bad... except I spotted 2 dead baby cockroaches stuck in the side of one of the bamboo steamers of our pork balls =( fortunately most of our dishes came in plates... The dumplings were DELICIOUS =D ate till we were totally bloated.
Then we went to Funan the IT mall (which is right beside Excelsior shopping centre) and looked around. Then we saw some pcs on sale. Saw a Compaq Presario SG3680AP pc selling for 999 and decided to buy it. Came with a free dvd home theatre set. Bought it on the spot (tq Qing-ai-de for doling out 1.2k from ur pockets to buy it for me first).
Then we went to TCC to slack and wait for my idiot bro who promised to come help us carry the pc home (by then, he had already passed the Singapore Idol audition which took place at 11am+). Then he promptly broke his promise at freaking 6pm and we trudged upstairs angrily to retrieve the pc ourselves. The nice sales assistant trolleyed it into the taxi for us... and we were on our way.
Us 3 girls carried the pc home (my mum was kinda hyper to hv guests at home albeit for a short while). We rested for awhile, mum paid Qing-ai-de 1.2k for the pc and then set off for West Mall, where we promised to meet Yan Sin and Hua-jie at 8pm for dinner.
Had a short dinner at Pastamania since it was already late... chatted, laughed alot and then quickly disbanded and went home since some of us had to be up early on Monday.
All in all, a wonderful day... slightly dampened by my brother... o... btw his bday present was a $5 wallet... heheh... dat's $5 wasted on an ungrateful wretch... sigh.
TCC snacks were wonderful: i ordered a Rose Juliet coffee which smelt and tasted sooooo gd... the rose syrup was not too sweet and made the coffee so fragrant. Qing-ai-de ordered a Peach-me-up which was absolutely heavenly... Baobei ordered a coffee cooler and we found out that Qing-ai-de has a "Coffee Candy Cane" personality. Basically it means that the only way she takes coffee is if its super sweet. haha.

Super Update, the last wkend of being 20 yr old. part 1 ^^ author:name here
Haven't blogged since April. First, I shall type of the weekend I had, which was half gd, half bad, but all over pretty eventful.
6th June:
Plenty of Singaporeans should know what happened on the 6th June in Orchard road, since the event has been advertised for abt 2 mths on tv. Yes, I'm talking about THE Singapore Idol Auditions, which happened on 6th June, 8am - 6pm, outside the Cathay at Handy Road.
The competition I wouldn't be caught dead joining. Like I don't already know I can beat 80% of the people there hands-down. Also don't relish the idea of fighting 99 other wannabes.
However, I spent 6th June:
Being dragged out of bed at 4.45am to go queue at Auditions by my brother (who else?) despite having no intentions of joining.
Reached Dhoby Ghaut even before the sun did... started queueing
Becoming my brother's wallet. Paid for his food & drinks.
Being taken advantage of, not only by my bro, but by other ppl standing in the queue! Became a load donkey... not only carried drinks, but ended up paying for them. (cost $6.55 but the person only gave me $5 back and still had the nerve to shrug at me when I said $1.55 more plz)
Becoming a free umbrella stand. Melting in 40 degrees sun and stuck holding the umbrella for not only my bro but other ppl too.
Somehow ending up standing directly behind Hardy Mirza when he and Gurmit Singh came around with the camera crew to film a scene where we were all forced to scream "Singapore Idol!!!" and then shriek.
We ended up waiting till past 4pm before my idiot bro finally reached the front of the queue, and then when he finally registered, the crew told him to come back tomorrow.
All in all, wasted the entire damn day. The only reason I had gone with him was to help him do warm-up singing exercise & prepare him for his song. Was ready to slaughter him by then.
After that, I whined to Bao-bei and then went to meet her. Was treated to some herbal jelly at the dessert shop in Lot 1 basement, then went to her house. Her 4 yr old cousin Chermaine (i call her the little spoilt demoness) was there... so we played for awhile... kinda envious of the spoilt brat... her father bought her a MacBook... 4 yr old with her own MacBook!!!
Brat wouldnt even bathe unless it was a bubble bath... ENVIOUS! We convinced her to wash her hair by playing with the bubbles...
Went home at 10.15pm and the bus missed me again. Hate that bus-stop... coz it has an overhead bridge blocking the passengers from sight.
